LOCATION CHANGE!!!

In August when Sacred Ground Dance opened it’s doors to our first week of class, we had 22 students and my plan was to have our small Holiday Performance in the Sun Room at Yoga Island. As the first 8 weeks of class have passed, and classes have

grown, our Holiday Performance will now feature 50 performers!

The Sun Room would barely hold those 50 performers, none the less all the family and friends wanting to watch them, so I have decided to move the Holiday Performance to the Ministry Center at Trietsch Memorial UMC in Flower Mound. The performance will still be the same day and time, but the details have changed slightly, as there will

be no formal dress rehearsal at Trietsch. So here’s how the day will run…

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16th

6:25pm Performers Call

All Performers and Class Moms should arrive at Trietsch no later than 6:25pm and

be waiting by the Ministry Center doors. At 6:30pm sharp the doors to the Ministry Center will open for all the Performers and Class Moms to enter and find their

assigned area indicated by a sign on the wall with their class name. Since we are

not able to do a dress rehearsal in the Ministry Center before the show, it is very

important that everyone be there right on time as Miss Jen will only have 15

minutes to explain how the show will run.

6:45pm Doors Open

Friends and family are invited to come in, take a program and find a seat.

7:00pm Performance

There will be a variety of dance and vocal performances in the program, which

all together should last about just under one hour.

8:00pm Holiday Treats

We encourage everyone to bring a Holiday treat to share after the Performance.

There will be 2 large tables set up at the back of the Ministry Center to

place your treat on as you come in before the performance begins.

Costumes in Class This Week!

October 25-31st, we encourage students to wear their Halloween costumes (just please make sure they still have full range of motion and they aren't

too distracting). We will warm-up to Halloween favorites like "Monster Mash" and "I Want Candy" and have a spooky fun time!

Fall Make-Up Day Is Right Around the Corner!

Our Fall Make-up day will be on Saturday, November 12th! All students who have missed a class or will be missing a class due to a future vacation this semester, etc. are invited to attend. Please email Miss Jen to let her know if you plan on attending the make-up day in advance.

For the younger classes, Miss Jen will combine classes for an extra-fun time brushing up on our technique before our Holiday Performance.

The Butterflies and HS Movement classes will be just like a normal class and we will work on our Holiday dance. Here is the schedule:

1:00 - 1:45 Inchworms
2:00 - 2:45 Bumble Bees/Dragonflies/Hummingbirds
3:00 - 4:00 HS Movement
4:00 - 4:45 Butterflies

Costume Payments Are Due!

All costumes have been ordered and will be handed out once all the pieces have arrived. If you have not yet paid for your child's costume, please include it in your November tuition check which is due next week. Here is a list by class of the costume costs:

Monday Hummingbirds - $11.00

Monday Dragonflies - $15.00

Tuesday Inchworms - $6.25

Tuesday Bumble Bees - $11.00

Friday Inchworms - $11.25

Friday Butterflies - $23.00 (Holiday & Spring Costume)

Friday HS Movement - $50.00 (Holiday & Spring Costume)

How To Access the Moon Room Webcam

Since the Moon Room has no viewing window for parents, I have installed a webcam for parents to watch class. However, for saftey reasons, I have not included the instructions on how to access the webcam on the online version of this newsletter - it was only included in the personal emailed version. If you are a parent of a Monday or Tuesday student and would like access to the webcam, please email Jen or speak with her directly and she will get you the instructions.
